There's something magical about the skies before a storm... the hues of red are not only unique, but so deep that it makes me question if I'm on Earth or Mars! This is a rare sight in the DC area, as snowstorms don't occur often. Moreover, the water in the reflecting pool on this night was particularly still, making the reflection look like a mirror-image. Sitting next to a large print of this photo may very well invoke meditative vibes in the observer!
